Terms of Service

About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Aarvin Ventures, Villa 24, Plot No 24, Affluence Villas, Haris Pranava Township, Manneguda, Ranga Reddy, Telangana 501510, India (GSTIN 36BXTPR0969J1ZJ), which operates ClothBuddy. They apply to every order you place with us — through the ClothBuddy app, WhatsApp, phone or any other channel — and to your use of our app and website. Our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy form part of these Terms.

Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
• You must give accurate details and keep your phone number, address and contact details up to date.
• Your account is personal to you; you are responsible for activity on it. A phone is linked to the first number that signs in on it, to protect accounts and prevent misuse of offers.

Our service

• ClothBuddy collects garments from your address, arranges for them to be ironed, washed, dry-cleaned or otherwise treated — by ClothBuddy or by independent partner workshops working to our standards — and delivers them back to you.
• We currently serve selected pincodes in Hyderabad (see Areas); we may add or withdraw areas and services at any time.
• Some services (such as washing) may be bookable only through particular channels, such as WhatsApp, for a period.
• Turnaround times we publish are typical estimates, not guarantees.

Booking, pickup and delivery

• Pickups are available in published slots (currently 9 AM–12 PM, 12–3 PM, 3–6 PM, 6–8 PM), booked at least 2 hours and no more than 7 days in advance, subject to availability.
• You may have one open order at a time. Any amount due on an earlier order must be cleared before a new order.
• Our rider counts and photographs your garments at pickup. The count at pickup is final and is the basis of your bill. Please check it with the rider; items not handed over are marked “not collected” and are not charged.
• Once your order is ready, you choose a delivery slot. Please ensure someone is available at the address to hand over and receive garments; we may treat the person at the address as authorised by you.
• We may refuse, reschedule or cancel an order — for example, for an unserviceable address, safety concerns, unpaid dues, unsuitable items or a Force Majeure Event.

Prices

• Prices are per piece (or per kilogram where stated) and include 18% GST. Services start from ₹15 per piece; the price for each garment and service is shown before you confirm.
• Quantities you enter when booking are estimates; the bill follows the count at pickup.
• Items marked “price may vary” (such as dry cleaning and stain removal) are inspected first and their final price is confirmed after inspection. By booking such items you agree to this.
• Stain removal: the full price applies only if the stain is removed; otherwise a minimum charge applies. Stain removal is attempted on a best-effort basis and is not guaranteed.
• We may change prices at any time; changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

Payment and bills

• Payment is due on delivery by cash or UPI, unless we agree otherwise. Where we allow “pay later”, the amount must be paid before your next order.
• We issue a GST invoice for every order — one per service by default, or a combined bill.
• We do not collect card or bank-account details.

Offers and promo codes

Offers and promo codes are subject to their own conditions (for example, limits on the number of orders, eligible customers or devices, and validity dates), cannot be exchanged for cash and, unless stated, cannot be combined. We may withdraw an offer at any time and may cancel benefits obtained by misuse.

Your responsibilities

• Empty all pockets. Remove cash, jewellery, documents, cards, keys, pens and electronics. ClothBuddy is not responsible for items left in garments or for damage they cause.
• Declare special items before pickup. Tell us about bridal, designer, branded-luxury, antique, heirloom or other high-value pieces, and about delicate fabrics, embellishments, loose buttons, tears or existing stains. We may decline such items or require special handling. If a high-value item is not declared, any compensation will be assessed as for a standard garment of that type.
• Do not hand over hazardous, illegal, infested or heavily soiled items (for example, items contaminated with chemicals or bodily fluids). We may refuse or return them.
• Be available (or have someone available) during your slots, provide accurate details, and treat our riders and partners with respect.

Garment care and its limits

We process garments according to their care labels and standard industry practice. You accept that garment care carries inherent risks that can arise despite reasonable care, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, ClothBuddy is not liable for:

• colour bleeding, fading, shrinkage, stretching or change in texture, including from non-colourfast dyes or incorrect, missing or misleading care labels;
• damage arising from the age, wear, weakness, latent defects or manufacturing faults of a garment or its fabric;
• loss of or damage to buttons, beads, sequins, zari, embroidery, prints, linings, zips or other trims that are not suitable for the selected treatment;
• stains that cannot be removed, or marks revealed by cleaning;
• damage present before pickup, whether or not recorded;
• items processed as you instructed against our advice; or
• loss or damage caused by a Force Majeure Event.

Damage, loss and claims

• Inspect your garments at delivery. You must report any damage, loss or missing item within 48 hours of delivery by WhatsApp or email, with your order number and clear photographs. Claims reported later, or for garments that have since been worn, washed or altered, may not be accepted.
• We may ask you to make the garment available for inspection and to provide proof of purchase and value.
• We investigate every claim against our pickup and delivery photographs, order records and partner reports. Our decision on whether ClothBuddy is responsible, and on any remedy, will be communicated to you in writing.
• Where we accept responsibility, the remedy is determined case by case at ClothBuddy’s reasonable discretion, taking into account the type, age, condition and depreciated value of the garment, evidence of value, and the service charge. Remedies may include re-processing, repair, a refund of the service charge for the affected item, or compensation. Compensation is not based on the cost of a new replacement.
• Any compensation is in full and final settlement of the claim for that item; once compensation is paid, the item becomes our property if we ask for it.

Quality concerns

If you are unhappy with the finish of a service, tell us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs. Each concern is reviewed individually; any remedy is at our discretion.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel free of charge any time before pickup begins, and reschedule before a rider is assigned. Full details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Undelivered and unclaimed garments

If we cannot complete delivery after reasonable attempts, we will keep your garments safely and contact you. Garments left unclaimed for 90 days after your order is ready may, after a final written reminder sent to your registered number, be donated or disposed of, and ClothBuddy shall have no further liability for them. Any amount due on the order remains payable.

Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close your account for fraud, abuse or threatening behaviour toward our team or partners, repeated failed pickups, non-payment, misuse of offers or any breach of these Terms. You may close your account at any time — see Delete your account. Amounts due remain payable after closure.

Force majeure

We are not responsible for any failure, delay, loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”), including: floods, heavy rain or waterlogging, cyclones, earthquakes, fire, lightning, explosion or other natural calamities; epidemics, pandemics and public-health restrictions; war, terrorism, riots, civil commotion, bandhs, strikes or lockouts; orders, lockdowns or restrictions of any government or authority; theft, burglary, robbery or vandalism despite reasonable precautions; road closures and traffic or transport disruptions; failures of electricity, water supply, internet, telecom or third-party platforms; and comparable events affecting us, our riders or our partner workshops.

During a Force Majeure Event our obligations are suspended for as long as the event continues, pickups and deliveries may be rescheduled or cancelled without penalty, and turnaround times are extended accordingly. We will make reasonable efforts to keep garments in our care safe and to inform you as soon as practicable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClothBuddy shall have no liability for loss of or damage to garments caused by a Force Majeure Event.

Limitation of liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClothBuddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — including loss of use, loss of enjoyment, missed events or occasions, travel costs, emotional distress, or loss of income, profit or opportunity — even if foreseeable.
• Claims relating to garments are handled only as set out in “Damage, loss and claims”, which is your sole remedy for such claims.
• For all other claims, ClothBuddy’s total liability arising out of or in connection with an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify ClothBuddy against losses, claims and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, from items you hand over in breach of “Your responsibilities”, or from your misuse of the service.

Intellectual property

The ClothBuddy name, logo, app, website, content and software belong to Aarvin Ventures or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Third-party services

Our service relies on third-party platforms such as WhatsApp, UPI apps, mobile operating systems and map services. Their availability and their terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for them.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first raise any dispute with our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve it. Subject to your rights to approach a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the courts at Ranga Reddy District, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Grievance Officer

We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month of receipt.

General

• We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order. Continuing to use ClothBuddy after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
